CONOR and CLAIRE, a childless couple from a small town in Ireland are about to welcome a child from a surrogate mother in Ukraine, MARIA, when war tears through Ukraine and through their plans. When Conor refuses to go to the war–torn country to help the woman bearing his future child, Claire decides to go on her own. Meanwhile, Maria and her seven–year–old autistic first–born NIKITA, make their way through hell to Ukraine’s European border. As the war rages, these two polar opposite women make their way towards each other in a desperate struggle to finally find their happiness.

She has two master’s degrees, both in directing and she has worked in Ukraine, directing feature films, series and short movie. In Ukraine she used to work in the biggest production holding in the country. Nadiia left Ukraine when the war began to protect her child.
