fiction feature film
"Happy days" is a story about the relationship between parents and their children under the war conditions.
The main character Vlad lost his family, because his wife and daughter went abroad at the beginning of the full-scale war. Then, after a while, his marriage collapsed as he had to make a choice between taking care of his seriously ill parents and saving his relationship with his wife. Parents categorically refused to leave their beloved house and garden.
There had never been a particular closeness between the main character and his parents. Even tragic events, namely the death of the Vlad's brother, could not get him closer to his parents. But when dad himself was on the verge of death, Vlad made the decision to stay with him and mom until the end.
Despite the opposing worldview paradigms of the existence of the parents and the character, the difficult physical and mental component of caring for the bedridden father and mental disorders of the mother, the loss of his own family, the war reality conditions - the main character eventually realizes that he has never felt before such an emotional closiness with his parents. Finally he feels hapiness and peace.
